Beginner Trail - Rest Stop Animation Keystone Resort
The Schoolmarm Family Trail at Keystone Ski Resort is a 3.5 mile long beginner trail. Due to its length and green circle status, myself and a small team worked together to determine key areas that could be utilized as rest stops. Many of Keystone's trails are named for the deep history of mining in the area so it was determined we would use a mining theme. I worked closely with both the terrain park manager and a local wood carver to design a combination of large wood sculptures and mining themed benches for the guests to stop and rest on or take photos.
VW Bus Snowcat Woodward Copper
I worked closely with the Copper Mountain marketing team to assist in designing a wrap for a VW bus which had been converted to a snow cat to be used as base area marketing material. Along with the marketing team, I worked closely with the wrapper to ensure I procured the best materials to adhere to the vehicle including color matching cast vinyl in the Woodward brand yellow to be overlaid on matte black vinyl with the intention to both save cost and ensure a longer lasting product.
Labonte's is a BBQ shack located at the bottom of two lifts at Keystone Resort. It is named for French Canadian fur trapper LaBonte. I was tasked witih working with our team of sign fabricators to design a sign pulling in some elements of fur trapping while tying in the BBQ theme. With this I sourced antique style snow shoes from a local thrift shop, created a faux birch pattern to be printed on vinyl and wrapped around PVC and added a hanging pig to tie the entire concept together. In addtion to this, we needed to procure approval from the forest services which required sticking within strict USFS standards for signage on national forest land.
Water Pitcher Re-design Sterilite
Issues with Existing Pitcher
Lid and Tab Design Studies
Ergonomics Studies and Models
I was tasked with designing 2 pitchers, one 2 liter and one gallon sized, with the intention of replacing an older, outdated design. With this I pulled out issues with the existing design and took apart main elements of a pitcher including the lid, handle and open / close tab. I began by sketching various profiles then worked my way to 3 dimensional models where I cut the handle off an existing pitcher and glued a variety of handle designs to be passed around the office to test ergonomics. Eventually a design was determined and I worked closely with the engineering team to see where plastic could be eliminated along with figuring out the best way to stack the products for shipping purposes.
The final product was picked up by WalMart and sold across the US.

Little Monsters for Baby and Me were created as a developmental toy to be used for an older child adjusting to a new baby entering the home. I spent time both observing children with their new siblings, interviewing parents and also talking with child psychologists to determine some of the struggles that come with introducing a new child into the home while trying to reduce the jealousy that comes with the process.
With this, I landed on puppets split into various newborn / infant development stages which could be used by both the older child to interact with the younger sibling along with providing a variety of developmental elements listed above. Each puppet comes with a name a small story to give each its own personality.
Food Fury Personal Tattoo Design Project
Ashley Avocado After years of being pitted and squashed onto toast, Ashley Avocado has decided to finally take a stand. She is the founder of the Food Fury Gang. Ready to take the human race down stabbing one hand at a time.
Sammy Soft Serve Getting his start at a baseball stadium concession stand, Sammy grew tired of kids choosing souvenir caps instead of cones only to melt all over. He stole a bat to gather his baseball friends getting his revenge.
Georgia Gingerbread Year after year someone spent hours decorating Georgia and her friends only to immediately break their limbs off one by one. Finally she fashioned a candy cane into a weapon to stab her enemies.
Food Fury is a personal project I began in coordination with tattooer Rich Fisher at Electric Light Tattoo in Dillon, CO. While each food has connection to various moments in my life, every character also has their own story with a combined mission to conquer the human race. This is a continuing work in progress.
Character Cutouts Town of Dillon, Colorado
The Town of Dillon was seeking a couple different "face in the hole" characters to be placed by the local amphitheater. The first ask was a yeti to fit in with the mountain town vibe of the area with the second being an farmer they could place within the summer farmer's market.
